The purpose of this role is to provide a high level of business and technical consultancy in all areas of Information Communications Technologies (ICT) to strategic customer accounts. We’re looking for an experienced individual who exhibits in-depth technology and business knowledge across a range of industry segments and technology specialties within the ICT space to deliver solutions to Optus customers. The role will place a strong emphasis on the value proposition of ‘enterprise-wide’ solutions to address a customer’s varying business needs. A strong background in the areas of telecommunications, information technology, applications and implementation/migration challenges across a range of industries and markets is a must. You must be capable of developing innovative / complex ICT road maps, articulating the plan and influencing senior management both externally and internally. You’ll also be responsible for providing direction and leadership to technical teams, potentially drawing on expertise from the broader Optus business when targeting major opportunities and developing associated proposals. This will include being responsible for supporting complex major accounts whose commercial needs require sophisticated, innovative and integrated business solutions. As the overall solution owner for all streams of a major customer engagement, covering ongoing relationship and major offer stages: Ongoing relationship: providing professional enterprise-wide design and consultancy services to develop innovative ‘whole-of-business’ relationships on an ongoing basis, to address customer business requirements through technology, application and services Offers stages: providing major solution offers (bids), covering technology and commercial ownership, and is instrumental in defining the winning business-to-technology value proposition. The role will be extensively customer facing and requires a strong rapport with the customer with extensive experience of presenting to the C-level executive, contribution to proposal authoring and innovative thinking. The position provides a key link between the sales process, product capability owners, and implementation teams. About you: You will bring substantial working experience in the Communications & Information Technology industries providing technical and consulting support. Coupled with broad-based ICT/Telecommunications systems design background with detailed understanding of enterprise-wide system architecture and service management methodologies. Additionally, we will also require the following; Ability to show previous experience designing, implementing and supporting resilient networks with complex routing, in an enterprise environment Knowledge of network security, firewalls, architectures and network protocols Demonstrated project coordination and leadership experience Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) Demonstrated ability to work in a team (both leading and participating) A natural ability to engage clients on all levels, and manage stakeholders Strong knowledge of network switching and routing (LAN/WAN), Wireless and Data Centre networking Experience managing and configuring LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs etc Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls) Working across documentation and processes Knowledge in the cloud environment either AWS or Azure Good experience in Network & Security policy engine design, implementation (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass) Expert hands-on experience with Data links, routers, switches, firewalls & load balancers Good knowledge of MPLS networks, TE and QoS as well as VPN technologies Strong understanding of routing protocols - BGP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP Etc.
