April 1, 2021: The Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution (FfAME) is looking for a full-time lab technician. Location: 13709 Progress Blvd., Alachua, FL 32615 The job description includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Develop low-cost and high throughput diagnostics platforms under the direction of an immediate supervisor. 2. Develop diagnostics kits to test infectious and genetic diseases (e.g. COVID-19, Influenza, and cancer). 3. Perform PCR, RT-qPCR, and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), analyze data, write reports, assist supervisor to evaluate the technologies developed at FfAME. 4. Assist in inventory management, ordering, and quality controls. Required Education, Skills & Experience: 1.
