About us As a research institute at the University of Maryland, the National Foreign Language Center (NFLC-UMD) works to define the current and future language needs of the nation and helps build the capacity to meet those needs. The NFLC-UMD seeks Curriculum Developers/Instructors (non-tenure track) to develop and teach Chinese language courses for working professionals who are non-native speakers of these languages. Applicants must be native speakers of Chinese and have native or near-native skills in English. Multiple positions are available for each language. Some positions require US citizenship.
