Hudson's IT Infrastructure team is currently seeking expressions of interest to join our candidate and contractor talent pool in order to be considered for any future roles (subject to client instructions and/or approval). We want to hear from versatile, delivery-driven systems administrators that are passionate about applying their skills to a technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions.

About the Roles:

  • Performing server administration tasks and ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
  • Assisting with building, testing, and maintaining new servers
  • Monitoring data centre health and responding to any hardware issues
  • Performing routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups
  • Interacting with the help desk and providing technical assistance when needed
  • Maintaining internal infrastructure requirements

Required Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Prior experience in database, network administration, or system administration
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

  • Relevant University qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related IT degree
  • MCSA or MCSE, Security+ CE Certifications
  • Knowledge/certifications of ITIL methodology
  • Experience working inside of project teams
  • Experience working in similar roles within large complex IT departments
  • Understanding of file system management, backup and recovery tools
