Cyberspace Exercise Planner

Key Role:

Support the development of exercise plans and directives and requirements for collective training and exercise events. Support the development and integration of cyberspace capabilities into exercise designs and plans and provide input to address shortfalls, prioritize and validate requirements, and modify planning efforts based on the changing cyberspace environment. Contribute to the development of exercise scenarios, exercise operational plans, and other required documentation to support planning and execution to accomplish exercise objectives. Conduct research of current and emerging threats to US Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR). Coordinate with Joint Planning Groups (JPGs) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) through the Joint Planning Process (JPP) to coordinate dynamic exercise injects and adjudication with the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG). Participate in JECG and Command response cells replicating staff processes and products of the Joint Staff and Combatant Command Headquarters. Support command-directed wargames as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 + years of experience with joint exercise training
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to apply analytics in problem-solving
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• BA or BS degree

Addition Qualifications:

• Experience with working in a joint military staff environment
• Experience with exercise, intelligence, or operations planning at the Service Component or Combatant Command level
• Experience with a briefing and delivering training to senior military and civilian leaders
• Knowledge of the Joint Training Program and Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) doctrine and processes
• Knowledge of Cyberspace operations

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
