Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Software Asset management as Functional Consultant
  • Experience in understanding and defining overall organization Software Asset Management Process in align with business stakeholders
  • Ability to conduct workshops with business and IT stakeholders to define overall SAM process.
  • Experience in using ServiceNow SAM Pro as Software Asset Management Tool
  • Expertise on Asset Management process (HAM and SAM)
  • Expertise in Software Asset Management lifecycle and Software License Compliance Management
  • Strong knowledge on various Software licensing models
  • Strong knowledge on Software normalization process, Reconciliation process
  • Extensive knowledge on Software asset management processes, including software procurement, license management and compliance verification
  • Knowledge on software asset management tools to monitor software usage and license allocation
  • Strong knowledge on Software Discovery, Normalization, Reconciliation process
  • Understanding KPIs and convert them to requirements for implementation using ServiceNow SAM Pro
  • Knowledge on ITOM, Content Library, CSDN
  • Knowledge on creating and using dashboards on various SAM KPIs
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate functional requirements to technical information
  • Experience in using other SAM tools like Flexera and SNOW
  • Certifications in SAM
  • Working in agile environment.
  • Agile project management tools

Experience Required 8 years to 12 years

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and drive the Software Asset Management (SAM) process workshops
  • Understand current process and define future state of process (SAM)
  • Need to understand and define future state process in all aspects of SAM
  • Need to guide ServiceNow SAM Pro tools team on implementation above process.
  • Working with business team (SAM Manager) in defining and documenting various requirements for implementing in ServiceNow SAM Pro
  • Documenting process/flows in visual diagrams
  • Validation of implemented process in ServiceNow Sam Pro
  • Coordinating User acceptance Testing
  • Coordinating with business team to create user stories in Agile project management tools like Jira/ADO

Generic Managerial Skills

  • Experience working with stakeholders to understand, document, and prioritize requirements for process and ServiceNow enhancements
  • Experience defining and documenting governance processes and procedures and ensuring that the processes are followed
