This job family covers IT professional who spend less than half their time in any one IT job junction, typically including activities in server systems management, support services and applications.Essential FunctionsUnder professional supervision as to the method of approach and requirements, perform professional engineering work requiring individual judgement and initiative in the application of engineering techniques and methods.
  • Participate in the preparation of standards, briefs, procedures and designs for systems and equipment.
  • Participation in engineering studies and evaluation of systems and equipment designs and novel concepts.
  • Undertake programming and/or elements of systems analysis design.
  • Install and configure computer systems and networks and provide specialist technical advice.
  • Monitor performance, investigate and remedy failures in computer and software systems and networks.
  • Analyze, develop and implement IT & T security measures.
  • Participate in the management and development of IT & T systems.
  • Consults with outside 3rd party vendors and contractors on projects as needed or requested.
  • Performs related and other duties as assigned.

Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Computer Science and/or MIS; or professional certification from current enterprise database and/or operating system technical course and two (2) years of experience as an Application /Web GUI database developer, including experience in systems administration (Windows, UNIX, Linex, etc…) Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.Employment RequirementsMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
