About the Role

As a Security Analyst, you will work with a growing team to support the security operations of a large Federal department. Opportunities exist in both operational and incident response roles. You will be providing timely and effective security responses to identified incidents and ensuring compliance with mandated security standards.

What you'll do

As Security Analyst, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Recording and resolving IT security problems to support the organisations security posture
  • Providing timely & effective support for all IT security incidents and events
  • Monitoring and escalating calls/tickets to ensure resolution to agreed SLAs
  • Effectively manage incoming queues to ensure incidents and requests are actioned within an appropriate time frame.
  • Developing and maintaining security documentation and procedures.
  • Asset administration for security-related software, hardware, and certificates
  • Following documented incident and problem management procedures.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you will need to bean Australian Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

As Security Analyst, you will bring at least 3 years Cybersecurity experience, ideally from within a managed service provider either in a SOC, Network or System Engineering role. You will be passionate about Cybersecurity, and driven to making a customer's environment safe and secure. You will be a quick learner, self-driven and have exceptional communication and analytical skills. You are a team player, who is dedicated to both self-improvement and improvement of the wider Datacom community.
