Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This position is responsible for managing aspects of payroll processing, employee recordkeeping, and HR administration to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong interpersonal skills, and has a passion for supporting both employees and company goals.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

  • Process weekly payroll for all employees roughly 130 employees all located in Colorado Springs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll records, including adjustments for bonuses, deductions, benefits, and paid time off.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll inquiries.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Human Resources Administration:

  • Maintain and update employee records, including new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, and changes to employment status.
  • Support the onboarding process by coordinating orientation and ensuring all documentation is completed.
  • Assist the HR Manager in the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and legal requirements, including labor laws and workplace safety standards..

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Utilize Planet Granite technology and software to prepare and file required reports for payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, and other government filings.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in deploying policies in HR and organization wide. Ensure compliance to new company policies and provide measurable feedback to management on compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and human resources administration.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paycor, or similar software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources and/or payroll administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional experience in Human Resources and Payroll will be contemplated in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or PHR (Professional in Human Resources) are highly desirable.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Weekends as needed
  • Position is onsite, no remote work

Compensation Range:

$24.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience
