Maine Assessment & Appraisal Services Inc. was founded in 2003 by Garnett Robinson. Maine Assessment and Appraisal services Inc. is known for providing a comprehensive array of municipal assessing services including fulfilling the role of Assessor/Assessors' agents for municipalities, tax map drafting/updates, municipal equalizations and complex real and personal property appraisals Ad Valorem Taxation purposes and expert witness representation before appellate boards and courts.

Role Description

This is an on-site role as a Real Estate Data Collector at Maine Assessment & Appraisal Services based loosely out of Dixmont, ME. As a Real Estate Data Collector, you will be responsible for traveling to select towns, conducting property inspections, collecting and analyzing property data including measuring and sketching buildings and maintaining accurate records. Pay is based on amount of work completed. $20-$25 per parcel available plus mileage. 2-4 parcels per hour typical. Most data collection is completed from April - December (Once snow and ice melts)

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of real estate practices, terminology and building characteristics
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis
  • Ability to work independently and follow guidelines
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Prefer previous construction background or someone capable of learning construction materials, quality of construction and basic drafting/site plan review.
  • Clean Driver's License
  • Clear Criminal Record

Additional Notes

Must live within 45 minutes of Dixmont, ME. Must be able to travel and stay at various job sites on occasion seasonally. Paid mileage, room/board and meals provided when/if staying overnight.
