ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a global company, in the manufacturing industry. They have 7 sites in New Zealand and Australia, this role is based in Hastings in the sun soaked Hawkes Bay. With a small IT team, you have access to the IT Manager, to bring your fresh ideas, approach and perspective to impact change. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Bridge the gap between the business and IT by investigating and defining challenges and opportunities. The key strategy of the business is to consolidate and standarise systems and processes, to increase efficiencies and reduce duplicate. This role is critical in this strategy, to seek out opportunities and drive the initiatives. 

This is a varied role, as the sole IT person located in Hastings you will be the face of IT. Reporting to the IT Manager based in Aussie, there will be an element of travel involved within NZ and Aus (as the borders allow). Where possible, this company is looking to consolidate applications and shift to the cloud. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is hungry to get their teeth into seeking opportunities and driving change. You’ll use your excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and the business to understand pain points and improve the way they work. 

DUTIES

  • Work on initiatives in IT and business projects
  • Liaise with the business to understand areas for improvements 
  • Assist with BAU work and assist with projects in other departments
  • Build & drive projects from inception & deliver IT focussed solutions

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven delivery of successful business analysis and project implementation
  • Previous experience with an ERP software ideally QAD
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Well developed experience in national organisations
  • Positive, enthusiastic and a professional attitude
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, and strong comprehension of business analysis concepts & techniques
  • Demonstrated experience of learning and understanding of business processes and workflow in business-specific applications and business information systems
  • Skilled at writing and preparing documentation, procedural material, business cases, and detailed reports intended for all audience level
  • Solid experience in utilising applications and specialised tools needed for business analysis, migration work, and implementations.
  • Advanced understanding of database structures, operation, & principles.
