Position Overview:
The ELL French Teacher will primarily teach French while also supporting French-speaking students learning English. The role involves teaching a small caseload of 4 students across grades K, 2, 3, and 7, focusing on both French and ELL support. The ideal candidate will be certified in both French and ELL in PA, with the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to bilingual learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging French lessons while integrating ELL strategies
• Support French-speaking students transitioning to English proficiency
• Assess and track student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions
• Collaborate with administrators, colleagues, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate student records, including progress reports, attendance, and grades
• Encourage cultural appreciation and inclusion within the classroom

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid ESL Program Specialist with French Certification for Pennsylvania)
• Experience teaching French and/or ESL strongly preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
