Your team

Our Regulatory and Control Operations Team (RACO or Financial Crime Operations) are accountable for leading a complex and diverse shared service for Financial Crime Operations across CBA.

Spanning multiple Business Units, multiple global locations and multiple financial crime disciplines such as Anti-money laundering/Transaction Monitoring, Payments Sanctions Screening, Customer Sanctions Screening, Pep Screening, Enhanced Customer Due Diligence of High Risk customers, on-boarding, on-going due diligence and maintenance and Law Enforcement Agency Notices.

RACO is a team of dedicated professionals and we collaborate closely with financial crime compliance and Business Aligned Risk teams across the group. It is a scale, growing operation that has extensive Transformation plans and focus within the organisation. Our external stakeholders are AUSTRAC, ASO and Law Enforcement. We work together to detect, deter and disrupt financial crime.

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver all the BI dashboards in Pipeline as per agreed timeline, Enhance existing Dashboard.
  • Work with ES and other business stakeholders to develop a stable reporting platform for financial crime analytics.
  • Make continual improvements to all reports, dashboards and analytics produced.
  • Work with detection team to help detect more emerging trends and reduce false positives.
  • Proactively use visual analytics to display insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to build models to visualize emerging trends, forecast and predict.
  • Provide insights into trends and anomalies - including root cause.
  • Ability to produce business and technical documentation as required.
  • Manage potentially difficult interactions ensuring the appropriate priority or severity level is assigned.
  • A willingness and ability to work unsupervised and under challenging deadlines.

Your skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Tableau, visual analytics and dashboard development.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and data mining.
  • 1+ years of experience in building models in Enterprise Miner / R.
  • Understanding of R, MDX, DAX and data warehousing techniques desirable.
  • Expert level of understanding in data analytics tools and platforms like Tableau, Teradata, SQL and SAS.
  • Ability to document business and technical requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill and numeracy skills.
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology

Your qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a numerate and / or IT based discipline or financial services experience.
  • Qualified SAS programmer
  • Qualified SQL programmer
