Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a flexible Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to float across multiple transition program sites in Orland Park, Oak Forest, and Palos Heights, IL. This full-time role begins ASAP and runs through the end of the school year.
Position Details
Location: Orland Park, IL and surrounding sites
Start Date: November 17, 2025
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15am-3:30pm (33 hrs/week)
Pay Rate: $45/hr
Modality: In-person only
Grade Level: Ages 18-22
Caseload: Float role supporting long-term leaves, daily call-offs, and classroom openings
Flexibility: May assist with instruction, case management, or para support (paid as teacher)
Support: Strong team communication and cooperative support
Requirements
Valid Illinois teaching certificate with LBS1 endorsement
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Experience in special education or transition programs
CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Minimum age: 18
