Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the manager for maintenance operations and functions as the single point of contact for all maintenance requests.
- Provides leadership and guidance to provide effective maintenance support for all operations of the site, including factory and laboratory spaces.
- Overseas maintenance inventory management team, systems, and operations.
- Coordinates with Senior Management to ensure program needs are understood and supported.
- Directly assists management on special assignments and projects.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes maintenance changes to satisfy user needs and the needs of the organization.
- Oversees maintenance and subcontract personnel needed to accomplish tasks consistent with established project standards.
- Reviews and evaluates progress on maintenance projects, performs quality assurance checks, and applies corrective action or proposes revised procedures to meet or redefine project objectives.
- Interacts with and reports to DOE officials on the status, progress, and completion of major projects.
- Plans, implements, budgets and maintains maintenance programs to provide efficient and safe operations of the facility infrastructure, equipment and personnel.
- Develops and publishes initial and updated project plans.
- Plans, budgets and coordinates projects and staffing requirements to establish and accomplish priorities for maintenance activities.
- Forecasts manpower requirements, determines priority of work, and assigns resources to complete the task.
- Directly supervises employees responsible for maintenance related functions. Performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;ewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensures staff perform related activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HSandE requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment.
You Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics or related field
- 7 or more years of experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
We Value
- Working knowledge of maintenance planning methods, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), manufacturing, and quality operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of production management, manufacturing operations, and/or quality inspection or test fields or related activities.
- Ability to lead and motivate in a diverse work environment.
- Experience in engineering or related technical field, including the application of advanced engineering principles and technology related to complex technical assignments.
- Demonstrated experience in project leadership, projects controls and Construction Management.
- Solid background in project management, construction management, or industrial maintenance environments.
- Demonstrated decision making ability to take independent action with the ability to provide technical guidance, project management, consultative services, and innovative solutions on highly complex Facilities, Production Equipment, and Maintenance Engineering activities.
