Home Health Service Coordinator

Job Description

Position Summary

The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational functions of the home health care agency, with a strong focus on compliance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) regulations. This role ensures efficient office operations, staff coordination, accurate documentation, and adherence to all state and federal guidelines.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with DODD waivers, provider compliance, billing systems, and coordination with SSAs, CareStar, and county boards.

Key Responsibilities – Operations & Office Management

· Oversee day-to-day office operations

· Manage administrative staff and workflow

· Maintain organized records

· Develop office policies and procedures

DODD Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

· Ensure compliance with DODD, Medicaid, and waiver regulations

· Maintain audit readiness

· Monitor service documentation

· Assist with audits and site visits

Billing & Documentation

· Oversee billing for DODD waivers and Medicaid

· Verify service authorizations (MSS/PAWS)

· Ensure EVV compliance

· Coordinate with billing providers

Staff Coordination & HR Support

· Assist with hiring and onboarding

· Ensure compliance with certifications

· Maintain staff schedules

· Track credentials and Client & Case Coordination

· Serve as contact for families and SSAs

· Coordinate client intake

· Ensure ISP compliance

· Address client concerns

· Track expenses and budgeting

· Generate reports

· Monitor revenue cycles

· 1–3 years experience in home health/DODD

· Knowledge of DODD waivers

· Experience with MSS, PAWS, EVV

· Familiarity with CareStar and county boards

Qualifications – Preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in related field

· Healthcare management experience

· Knowledge of Ohio Home Care Waiver Skills & Competencies

· Attention to detail

· Multitasking ability

· Strong communication

· Problem-solving

· Microsoft Office proficiency
