A Brief Overview

The Onboarding Team Lead - Strategic Resourcing is a hands-on people leader responsible for supervising a team of onboarding specialists while directly managing a personal caseload of Strategic Resourcing and Delivery onboarding requests. This role balances day-to-day operational execution with frontline people leadership, ensuring onboarding requests are completed accurately, compliantly, and on time. The Team Lead serves as an escalation point for complex onboarding scenarios and partners closely with the Manager, Onboarding to ensure workload alignment, process consistency, and service quality. This position is ideal for an emerging leader who stays closely connected to day-to-day operations while developing core people management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a team of onboarding specialists, providing daily guidance, support, and task prioritization.

  • Ensure onboarding activities align with client-specific contractual and compliance requirements.

  • Monitors team workload, service levels, and turnaround times; escalate risks or capacity concerns to the Manager, Onboarding.

  • Provides onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching for new and existing team members.

  • Support performance management through regular check-ins, feedback, and development conversations.

  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and customer focused team environment.

  • Maintain a personal onboarding caseload focused on supporting our strategic resourcing and delivery business.

  • Guide candidates through the full onboarding lifecycle, including but not limited to: Client specific NDAs, background release forms, contractor agreements, background checks, and drug screens.

  • Reviews onboarding documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. state regulations.

  • Partners with Onboarding Manager, Resource Managers, Account Managers, and Legal to resolve onboarding issues and escalations.

  • Updates and maintains records in applicant tracking systems and vendor management systems.

  • Applies established onboarding procedures, templates, and best practices consistently.

  • Partners with cross functional stakeholders to clarify onboarding requirements and timelines.

  • Identifies process gaps or recurring issues and provide input on operational improvements.

  • Supports documentation updates and process changes as directed by the Manager, Onboarding.

  • Acts as a subject matter resource for U.S. Strategic Resourcing and Delivery onboarding processes.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years people leadership experience required

  • A minimum of 2 years' progressive experience in a related field required, 3 years preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in onboarding, talent operations, HR operations, or a related field

  • Prior experience supporting onboarding or compliance-based processes preferred

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a high-volume, deadline driven environment

  • Ability to balance people leadership responsibilities with individual execution

  • Working knowledge of U.S. onboarding requirements and compliance considerations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Customer focused mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate appropriately

  • Comfortable working with multiple systems and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Human Resources preferred

  • Up to 10% of the time Domestic Travel only

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $74,800 to $93,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
