Registered Nurse – Urgent Care

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12s | Variable Start Times (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Registered Nurse for a high-volume urgent care setting in Saratoga Springs, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency department or urgent care experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment caring for patients across a broad range of acuity levels.

Candidates should possess excellent triage, telemetry, and patient assessment skills while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an urgent care environment
• Perform patient triage, assessments, and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications and treatments using Omnicell medication systems
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry patients
• Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Float within scope of practice based on departmental needs

Requirements

• Active New York RN license required
• Minimum 5 years of current Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with Omnicell medication systems required
• Telemetry skills required
• Must successfully pass hospital rhythm interpretation testing with:
  • Greater than 80% rhythm identification accuracy
  • 100% accuracy identifying critical rhythms

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• Triage experience
• Level I Trauma experience
