TDXi, a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), an Alaska Native Corporation, is currently recruiting for the position of Radar Maintenance and Repair Technician to support critical Air Combat Training System (ACTS) operations at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. This is a Full Time position. This position will report to the Program Manager.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is located at Eielson AFB, Alaska and reports directly to the Program Manager.

This is a Department of Labor (DOL), Service Contract Act position.


The Electronic Technician / Radar Technician provides technical expertise supporting radar system operations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and operational system readiness. This role performs maintenance and diagnostics on electronic and RF systems using standard and advanced test equipment while supporting live operational mission requirements. Systems include – MYRA, NINER, JUDGE, Former Soviet Union (FSU) simulators, IADS, TPS, ANGEL, RADS, etc.


Technicians will work in both fixed and remote operational environments and may support travel to remote locations as mission requirements dictate.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform 1st and 2nd line preventive maintenance on radar systems
  • Perform 1st and 3rd line corrective maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot radar, RF, and electronic system faults using diagnostic test equipment
  • Maintain operational readiness and mission capability of assigned systems
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements
  • Maintain and review radar technical manuals and documentation
  • Maintain accountability and serviceability of tools and test equipment
  • Coordinate spare equipment requirements with logistics personnel
  • Support remote-site maintenance activities and overnight travel requirements
  • Provide on-site support to Lockheed Martin and Government personnel when required
  • Backfill radar technician support at alternate locations on Eielson AFB as necessary
  • Support TDXi Quality Control and Safety Programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Program Management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline, Associate Degree in a technical discipline, equivalent military training, or minimum ten (10) years of journeyman-level experience
  • Degree in Electronics and Craftsman-level experience highly desirable

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Top Secret Clearance preferred; ability to obtain and maintain a clearance required
  • Familiarity with RF measurements including:
    • Small signal and high-power gain
    • Noise Figure
    • S-Parameters
    • Digital measurements using oscilloscopes and DVMs
  • Recognized electronics and electrical qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience supporting radar systems maintenance
  • Strong understanding of operational service delivery environments
  • Valid state driver’s license required
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Ability to lift, maneuver, and transport equipment in operational, warehouse, tower, and flight-line environments

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
  • Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and technical manuals
  • Experience using:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Signal generators
    • Voltage and frequency meters
    • Semiconductor test equipment
    • Computer-controlled analyzers
  • Familiarity with microwave RF measurement and troubleshooting techniques including:
    • Network Analyzers
    • Spectrum Analyzers
    • Power Meters
    • Noise Figure Analyzers
    • Digital signal troubleshooting tools
  • Ability to analyze, trend, and troubleshoot system performance data
