Pediatric Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to providing exceptional dental care. As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating young patients and their families about proper dental hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing on pediatric patients.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture high-quality radiographs as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records using Carestack and Dexis software.
• Educate patients and their families on effective oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as required.
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for young patients, addressing their concerns with empathy and patience.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry and best practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dental office setting, particularly in pediatric dentistry, is preferred.
• Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology related to dental care is essential.
• Familiarity with patient assessment techniques
• Experience in medical imaging procedures is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and their guardians.
• Dental Hygiene degree (licensed in Hawaii or eligible).
