School Nurse 2026-27 (FULL-TIME)Community Charter School of Cambridge (CCSC) is a charter public school that serves students in grades 6-12. The School Nurse for CCSC can expect to:-Provide assessment, triage and care of sick or injured students and staff, including administering medication and developing care plans for students with ongoing conditions, when necessary-Arrange for and execute all necessary health screenings-Maintain accurate health and immunization records for all students, ensuring compliance with all state reporting and regulations -Manage inventory of medical supplies for the health office -Develop and maintain relationships with community health providers in the city -Work closely with the Health and Wellness staff, school counselors, student support staff, and advisors-Develop and help execute health education -As a member of the operations teams, develop and maintain emergency response protocols and equipment-Provide staff training on medical protocols (emergency response, medicine delegation, epipen administration)-Serve as the Title IX Coordinator for students only-Providing resources and support to all parties involved in a Title IX complaint, when that complaint involves students-Ensure that all Title IX policies and procedures are followed in compliance with the current law-Work with a diverse student body from Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Revere, and surrounding cities-Promote a school-wide culture of respect using the principles of restorative justice -Participate in myriad forms of professional development as scheduled for all staff -Complete other duties, as assigned/fulfill regular CCSC staff responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and/or Head of SchoolQualifications:-Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts-A bachelors or masters degree in nursing-A minimum of two full years of employment as a nurse in a child health, community health, school, or other relevant clinical nursing setting-Licensed or eligible for DESE school nurse certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment)-Completion of various orientation programs and courses as required by the MA DPH-BLS/CPR certification-Knowledge of Massachusetts school laws and policies-Ability to function autonomously in a clinical capacity -Ability to assess student health issues and act quicklyCompensation:The School Nurse is paid on the CCSC Union Unit A salary schedule, based on step level and lane, ranging from $57,000 (Step 1 with a Bachelors degree) to $78,677 (Step 6 with a doctoral degree).How to Apply:Send a cover letter and resume to Neal Landry, Director of Operations and Technology, at nurse-jobs@ccscambridge.org with the subject line CCSC School Nurse.
