Where you'll be working: Business Analysis, Waikato Hospital The details: Fixed term, Full-time, 40 hours per week (1 FTE) The Business Analysis team under Digital Enabling division is looking for an experienced and talented analyst to join their team. This position is key in providing data and analysis which will be used for operational and management decision making to ensure that the health care system delivers quality health care efficiently. The role is varied and involves: * Detailed business analysis and interpretation of service performance * Critically evaluates information gathered from various systems to give accurate and reliable advice, guidance, leadership and support to management and their staff across the DHB * Development, reviewing and implementation of reporting requirements for Service and Management reports * Supporting service planning with detailed analysis including modelling using projection tools * Extraction of data using SQL management studio to provide accurate and meaningful analysis/reporting * Representing the business analysis team at operational, management and governance meetings. * Actively promote and use benchmarking data You will also be required to understand and monitor key performance indicators, clearly identifying the rationale and interpretation, as well as the definition, of each indicator. To support the good use of valuable data, you will convert it into clear and relevant information and present it to service managers. Required skills and experience: The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mind set with the ability to build trusted relationships with clinical and non-clinical managers and can work and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation. We are looking for a confident, self-motivated and technically skilled individual to accomplish the above. Ideally you will have an eye for detail in accuracy and presentation of data and be able to use variety of tools (such as SQL, Excel and Business Intelligence tools e.g. Qlik) to best convey information to the business. An understanding or experience in performance management systems or healthcare would also be a bonus.
