Job Duties

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the Data Analyst position.

OHFA offers affordable housing opportunities for Ohioans from rental assistance to homeownership. OHFA provides access to financial resources for the development and management of affordable housing. The Agency's programs serve first-time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens and other populations with special needs who otherwise might not be able to afford quality housing. The Office of Housing Policy advances affordable housing policy through planning, research and evaluation, project development and management, data analysis, and engaging stakeholder collaborations.

This position reports to 57 East Main St., Columbus, OH 43215 two, non-consecutive days a week and may work from an alternative work location three days a week. This is in compliance with our current teleworking policy and may be subject to change with little notice.

Examples of the Data Analyst's duties are:
Conduct research to inform statewide affordable housing policies.
Analyze and visualize data to identify critical housing needs in Ohio.
Assist with the analysis and evaluation of OHFA programs.
Provide guidance for the agency on best practices for data collection and data quality standards.
Collaborate with OHFA offices and external partners to advance statewide housing initiatives.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Data Analyst position, applicants must demonstrate the following qualifications and skills on their application:

Bachelor's degree in Geography, City and Regional Planning, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or related field
2 classes or 6 months' work experience with at least one of the following: Tableau, PowerBI, R, State, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS
2 classes or 6 months' work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods

To be successful in this position, the applicant must possess:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and convey complex information to a wide range of audiences.
Strong understanding of the primary subject matter relevant to OHFA’s mission as well as the data resources that contribute to that work.

Educational Transcript Requirements
