Duties Writes and prepares heritage and paleontological resource input for portions of environmental documents such as environmental assessments and planning documents. Coordinates with other specialists for multiple use documents, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Federal Land Policy and Management Act. Applies a professional knowledge of archeological principles, theories, concepts, methods, and techniques to perform a variety of complex assignments related to heritage resource management. Ensures compliance with Section 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Recommends and/or determines eligibility of heritage resources for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places and provides recommendations for reducing or eliminating adverse project impacts.
