Full job description Duties As a Fish Biologist within the Columbia Environmental Research Center, some of your specific duties will include: Developing abundance models from disparate data streams. Gathering, tabulating, organizing, and interpreting a wide variety of biological, ecological, and geospatial data. Planning, organizing, and conducting limited ecological investigations. Drafting manuscripts of limited scope for journal publication. Conducting routine field and laboratory experiments to test scientific hypotheses. Operating a government-owned or -leased vehicle in the performance of your official duties. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires some physical exertion such as walking over wet, rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; and bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.
