Job Summary: The Scientist will work within the South Laboratory, directed by Dr. Andrew South. The South Lab is focused on advancing knowledge and understanding about squamous cell carcinoma development and progression, with a particular focus on the tumor microenvironment and its' influence on tumor initiation and progression. The purpose of this position will be to help execute the research projects being developed in the South lab and will make significant contributions to the design, planning, execution, and analysis of experiments. Research projects involve a variety of methods, including western blot, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, RT-PCR, cell culture, single cell RNA seq, and others. The Scientist will collaborate with members of the team to address critical scientific questions related to squamous cell caricnoma progression, examining components of the tumor microenvironment that influence disease development and factors that contribute to cancer progression....
