Title: Mathematics Academic Advisor Division Name: Academic Affairs Department: Mathematics Campus Location: Normal, IL Job Summary Serves as an academic advisor for undergraduate Mathematics majors for all sequences; helps resolve registration issues for students in all mathematics courses; assists with department recruitment and retention efforts. Within the bachelor's program we have majors in Pure and Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Mathematics Teacher Education, a few legacy majors in Data Science and Computational Mathematics, as well as minors in mathematics. There is also a large General Education commitment, serving students from all over campus. The advisor is expected to liaise with other advisors on campus and facilitate the transition from Pure and Applied mathematics to the Accelerated Sequence for students accepted into the 5-year BS/MS program.
