POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Step-Up’s major development efforts to include grant writing, foundation and corporate donations, and individual donor fundraising. The Director works closely with the President and CEO and Board of Directors in all development and fundraising activities. STATUS Full time/Exempt REPORTS TO President and CEO ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. Oversee grant seeking including identification of new opportunities, research, proposal writing and reporting requirements. Create strong fundraising messages that appeal to potential donors. Cultivate and meet with prospective donors and supporters on a regular basis to establish effective communication.
