This position is under general pharmacist supervision, coordinates and performs as necessary the technical activities of dispensing areas. Under general supervision of technician supervisor, carries out activities supportive of development, coordination, and training of assigned areas. Provides functional supervision as required. This position will work 8 hour rotating shifts between the hours of 2:00 pm - 11:30 pm. The Medication History Senior Technician is primarily responsible for completing medication histories on inpatients at Main Campus. Completion of medication histories requires direct patient conversation and accurate documentation in the medical record. This includes collaboration with the patient care team, interviewing patients and/or caretakers and contacting outside healthcare entities (e.g., hospitals, provider offices, pharmacies, etc.) to obtain patient information.
