Wood County Humane Society

Overview: The Wood County Humane Society is an independent, non-profit, limited admission animal shelter located in Bowling Green, Ohio. The organization was founded in 1904, and have been in our current location since but we did not move into a permanent brick-and-mortar structure of our own until 1988. Our mission is to “Be a community leader providing services and resources that enrich the relationship between animals and humans through advocacy, education, and animal welfare.” Toward that goal, WCHS offers animal shelter, affordable medical treatment, adoption, food/litter assistance programs, a Humane Agent, and more. We are currently hiring Animal Care Staff. These hourly, part-time, non-exempt positions are the primary caregivers for animals in our care by providing all aspects of animal care using established best practices in animal husbandry and sheltering, including cleaning, feeding, housing, and medicating.
