Cook County Offices Under the President

Under the general direction of the Steamfitter Foreman, lays out; fabricates; assembles; installs and maintains piping systems; fixtures and equipment for steam; hot water; heating; ventilating; air conditioning; hydraulic and steam pipeline systems. Maintains steam heating plants, steam power lines, pumps and oil lines. Inspects work sites to determine presence of obstructions and structural weakness. Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Successful completion of an approved and recognized Steamfitter Journeyman Apprenticeship Program OR, Five (5) years’ full-time work experience as a Steamfitter is required.
