University of Pittsburgh Pittsburgh, PA, USA
The University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in theoretical hadronic physics. This position is tied to the goals of the Department of Energy Topical Collaboration, "Coordinated Theoretical Approach for Exotic Hadron Spectroscopy" (ExoHad). Duties include completing work associated with milestones 2. a and 3.d in the ExoHad plan of action. This involves computing spin-dependent effects in the hybrid spectrum and developing a model of radiative decays of hybrid mesons. Additional work in developing novel AI-based methods for optimizing model selection is also anticipated. The Candidate is expected to attend ExoHad collaboration meetings and to make at least one visit to the theory group at Jefferson Laboratory. You will be expected to work with other scientists on this project, assist with student mentorship, as well as lead-author scientific papers. The position is funded initially for one year and housed within the Department of Physics...
