The Putnam County District Attorney’s Office has immediate openings for a full time Assistant District Attorney and Assistant District Attorney (Financial Crimes) . Applicants must reside in Putnam County or a contiguous county within the State of New York and be admitted to practice law in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the office be citizens of the United States. This is professional legal work of a complex nature involving responsibility for conducting criminal investigations, preparing and presenting criminal court cases and other legal work. General supervision is received from the District Attorney. Work requires incumbent to be on call at nights and on weekends. Performs related work as required. Ideal candidates would have at least two (2) years of experience as a practicing attorney, experience handling criminal cases, a good knowledge of computer skills and social media technology, and excellent writing skills....
