The NISEC Executive Director is responsible for all the total operations of the Northwest Indiana Special Education Cooperative and the provision of specialized services for students with disabilities. The Director must be able to perform essential job functions and satisfactorily demonstrate the competencies for Administrative Staff. Specifically, the Director is responsible for the following: Communication with the Board of Managers and the Superintendents of member districts Supervision of certified personnel Oversight of legal issues Compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations Public relations Consultation and services for nonpublic schools Requirements for Director Candidates: Minimum of Master’s Degree in Special Education and/or Education Administration.
