Water Industry Trade Store, & Sales Role Based: Timaru WaterForce is a leading irrigation company with branches throughout New Zealand, servicing the agriculture, viticulture, and horticultural industries, as well as residential, and commercial properties. We have a permanent full time position, based in our Timaru branch for a Trade Store, & Sales person. We are seeking a person who has an interest in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and a passion for the rural sector. Key responsibilities: * Stock control * Purchasing, receiving, and dispatching goods * Counter sales * Stock allocation to contract, and service jobs * Liaising with contract/service staff to ensure the correct goods are supplied. * Receiving calls from contractors/customers, needing urgent parts dispatched, or pick ups. * Answering telephone calls * Entering packing slips * Customer invoicing * Forklift use, unloading and loading of trucks Key attributes: * Dynamic customer orientated individual * Excellent people skills, with the ability to communicate on all levels * An interest in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment * Honest, motivated, organised, and hard working * Physically fit * Computer skills * Able to complete tasks in a timely manner to a high standard * Positive team player * Pumping knowledge, and mechanical trade qualification an advantage The position provides variation, flexibility, and the opportunity to work in a company with great people, and progressive customers. It is important that the successful applicant holds a current New Zealand drivers license. Training as required will be provided to assist the successful applicant with this position. Plumbing/irrigation, and stock control experience preferred, but not essential. The successful applicant will join a friendly and supportive team.
