Senior Tax Accountant – Direct-Hire/Full-time – Onsite in Bloomington, MN

We are partnering with a leading multi-state equipment and solutions provider in their search for a Senior Tax Accountant to support their expanding Tax and Accounting team. This organization offers a stable workplace, competitive compensation, and strong opportunities for professional development.
Essential Job Duties:
- Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, including preparing returns, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare S-Corporation and partnership tax returns and assist with quarterly income tax payments and forecasting.
- Oversee sales and use tax reporting, including preparation, remittance, exemption certificate compliance, and system configuration.
- Support book-to-tax reconciliations, Schedule M adjustments, fixed asset depreciation, rental fleet depreciation, and LIFO reporting.
- Assist with Microsoft D365 sales tax setup, user support, error resolution, and release testing.
- Maintain tax records and documentation in accordance with retention requirements.
- Support external audits by gathering information, coordinating requests, and communicating with taxing authorities.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements across tax operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, providing guidance on miscellaneous tax matters and communicating updates related to GAAP and tax law changes.
- Manage daily workflow, support departmental training needs, and help lead short- and long-term tax projects.
- Conduct tax research and present findings, recommendations, and insights to management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation preferred
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or similar roles
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with CCH Axcess Tax preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Position Benefits, Pay, & Schedule:

- Monday–Friday schedule with standard business hours
- Competitive pay range: $80K– $100K, depending on experience
