This isn't a role where you sit behind a desk and write reports all day. At Worksport, we need a Manufacturing Engineer who is ready to get on the floor and own the process. We manufacture high-quality tonneau covers, and we need someone who understands the nuances of machining aluminum. You will be designing fixtures in SolidWorks, optimizing speeds and feeds, and using Six Sigma tools to solve real production yield issues. What you'll be doing:

• Process Optimization: Review and write machine programs to perfect speeds and feeds for aluminum sheet metal and extrusion.
• Tooling Design: Use SolidWorks to design, manage, and update part files for custom jigs and fixtures.
• Problem Solving: Respond immediately to "line down" issues in both machining and assembly to keep production moving.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve safety.
• Quality Control: Resolve product yield issues to ensure we hit our production targets every time.
• Mentorship: Train assemblers and floor leads on the proper use of tools and equipment.

What we need from you:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a machining and assembly environment is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, specifically regarding aluminum machining.
• Software: Proficiency in SolidWorks (for fixture design) and MS Office.
• Methodology: Experience using Six Sigma tools and Lean manufacturing methods.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills—you need to be able to explain complex technical concepts to the assembly team clearly.
