Job Description

Job title - Software EngineerJob duties - Build the company's high-quality integrations with other data products such as data notebooks, ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration tools, and many other types of desktop and cloud software. Help ecosystem partners to build their own integrations with our data products. Propose new features based on partner and customer patterns. Troubleshoot a range of bugs across our stack. Unblock our users across support channels, and help other internal team members fulfill their job tasks. Hybrid position - ability to telecommute. Travel required 5% of the time to domestic and international locations.Education and Experience required - Master's in Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend developmentBackground -1. 3 years of experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and DuckDB.2. 3 years of experience designing and scaling data pipelines with data processing frameworks, such as Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake, Redshift.3. 3 years of experience in unit testing approaches and frameworks and test-driven development.4. 3 years of experience writing production level code in Python.5. 1 year of experience writing production level code in at least one of C++, Go, or Java.6. 1 year of experience performing SQL optimization using (1) techniques (such as indexing, partitioning, predicate pushdown) and (2) high-level understanding of database systems, including row-based vs column-based storage format, architectural patterns of modern OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) engines.7. 1 year of experience maintaining production systems running in AWS.8. 1 year of experience with troubleshooting production systems deployed on Kubernetes.9. Knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool), and at least two other data ecosystem tools, including (1) business intelligence tools (examples: Looker, Omni, Grafana) and (2) data processing frameworks (examples: Spark, Athena, Airbyte, Snowflake).10.
