Senior Civil Designer

We are seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing plats, property sketches, alignment sheets, permit drawings, hydrostatic drawings, and typical construction methods for pipeline routing and compressor/metering station projects using CAD. This role includes supporting Mappers, Engineers, and Project Managers, as well as mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to prepare various technical drawings for pipeline routing and compressor/metering station projects.
• Support Mappers, Engineers, and Project Managers through a variety of tasks.
• Use Excel tables to incorporate engineering information into drawings.
• Ensure quality by self-checking drawings before submitting for peer review.
• Mentor other civil designers and perform quality assurance and quality control for other designers and drafters.
  
  

• Proficiency in CAD, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in civil survey/drafting, grading, and drainage.
• Knowledge of pipeline routing, pipeline design, and GIS.
• Experience in pipeline construction and pipeline engineering.
• Familiarity with land development, concrete design, and civil engineering design.
• Understanding of bluebeam, oil & gas, and natural gas pipelines.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience with Civil3D.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Map and Microsoft Office.
• GIS software experience is a plus.
• Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  
  

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with three days in the Lexington office, and the option for mostly remote work depending on the candidate. The workspace includes an individual desk with a multiple monitor setup.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $53.00/hr.
