Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

*Therapy Connections, Pediatric Occupational Therapy are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.
We believe in fostering a supportive and engaging environment for our clients. Our sensory gym therapy sessions are designed to enhance sensory processing, motor skills, and overall well-being. Additionally, our home visit services aim to provide personalized care in the comfort of our clients' homes.

*Responsibilities*

- Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans for patients

- Work with patients on therapeutic activities and exercises

- Monitor and report patient progress to the occupational therapist

- Educate patients and their families on therapy procedures and techniques

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

- Assist in the implementation of individualized therapy plans for clients.

- Conduct sensory gym therapy sessions, guiding clients through activities that promote physical and emotional development.

- Provide home visit therapy services, offering tailored support to clients in their own environments.

- Collaborate with occupational therapists and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.

- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and therapy sessions.

*Skills*

- Knowledge of occupational health principles and practices

- Ability to assist in developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs

- Understanding of human physiology and its application to activities of daily living (ADLs)

**Qualifications**
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience in sensory integration and home-based therapy services preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
