Job Opportunity: Travel X-Ray Technologist (Night Shift)

Location: Columbia, SC
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3 × 12-Hour Shifts
Hours: 18:30 – 07:00
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Fixed Nights)
Weekly Hours: 36
Pay Rate: $50 – $55.51/hour
Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,725 – $1,915

Travel Requirement: Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status.

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Travel X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week night assignment at a high-volume Level I Trauma and Children’s Hospital. This role requires strong expertise in acute care imaging, surgical C-arm support, and fluoroscopic procedures. The ideal candidate is confident working independently in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience preferred

    • 1 year accepted only with full-time experience at a Level I Trauma and Children’s Hospital

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Operating Room (C-arm) experience

    • Fluoroscopic procedures (Barium Swallow, Esophagram)

  • Traveler Status: Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)

  • Licensure & Certifications:

    • Active SCRQSA license (pending licenses not accepted)

    • ARRT (R) certification

    • BLS certification

Summary of Skills

Candidates must be able to work independently in:

  • Acute Care Settings: ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, OR

  • Procedures: Bedside/portable X-rays, trauma imaging, C-arm surgical support

  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and operate facility-specific imaging equipment and protocols

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging across acute and critical care units

  • Independently manage portable, trauma, and OR imaging procedures

  • Conduct fluoroscopic studies, including barium swallows and esophagrams

  • Accurately document and manage imaging records using Epic EMR

  • Collaborate within a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment

  • Float between units or campuses as required by facility needs
