Assistant General Manager

Be part of something new. We’re opening a custom-built Residence Inn by Marriott at Patriots Point, and we’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to help launch the property, lead daily operations, and create a guest experience that reflects both Marriott service standards and Bennett Hospitality’s commitment to Southern hospitality.

What You’ll Do

· Support the General Manager in all hotel operations (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services).

· Assist with pre-opening plans: hiring, onboarding, brand training, and building departmental systems.

· Lead daily stand-ups and team communication; cultivate a positive, service-focused culture.

· Manage schedules, labor planning, and budget awareness to support occupancy goals.

· Handle escalated guest issues, loyalty member recognition, and service recovery.

· Maintain Marriott brand compliance, safety standards, and Quality Assurance readiness.

· Support financial reporting, forecasting, and departmental performance goals.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have

· 2–4 years of hotel leadership experience (Marriott and/or extended-stay a plus).

· Experience coaching teams and building culture.

· Working knowledge of hotel operations, staffing, and guest service standards.

· Strong communication skills and a hands-on, hospitality-forward leadership style.

· Flexible availability during opening, weekends, and high-occupancy periods.
