Infant and Toddler Teacher

We are HIRING core teachers!

This position support the infant, toddlers & two’s classrooms. These rooms are supported by Drake University Early Head Start.

Conmigo Early Education Center is a non-profit that serves children between the ages of two months through eleven-years-old. We provide the care and education of 125 children. Current opening is for Drake Early Head start rooms (6weeks-2years).

The teacher is responsible for working with the assistant teacher in the planning and implementation of the curriculum, supervising children, and providing a safe, healthy and developmentally appropriate environment.

What we are looking for:

• Work an 7:00-4:00pm
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Bilingual (English\Spanish)
• A clean background check
• A CDA (Child Development Credential) or higher, or willing to obtain their CDA within 18 months of employment or two years of experience in group care
• Successful applicants are expected to continue formal training to meet program requirements

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating a safe and nurturing environment for students
• Assisting with routine meals and diapering schedules
• Create and implement developmentally appropriate biweekly lesson plans
• Maintain an open line of communication between families and staff
• Commit to ongoing professional development
• Engage in Conmigo's community outreach and events
