High School Family/Consumer Science Teacher Long-Term Substitute

Description:
The Eastern Lebanon County School District is now accepting applications for a High School Family/Consumer Science Long-Term Substitute Teacherfor the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year. The position involves instructing courses designed for high school students who are interested in becoming future educators. The second semester courses will focus on topics aligned with the four domains of the Danielson Framework for Teaching, including teacher planning and preparation, classroom environment, instruction, and professional responsibilities. Students will also explore the role of the classroom teacher and gain foundational knowledge related to effective teaching practice and understanding students as learners. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to inspire and prepare future educators by providing authentic insight into the profession. The successful candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and apply best practices in instructional design and implementation to support high-quality, engaging learning experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

Certification in:

• Family and Consumer Sciences (PK-12)

Clearances:

• All required clearances must be compliant with the Pennsylvania Department of Education's mandated criteria for hire, including:
  • Current Act 34, 151, and 144
