With a showroom in Auckland and a manufacturing facility in Timaru we are passionate about design and work with the Design and Architecture industry New Zealand wide. With strong growth in our business, we have a full-time position available for someone with experience in operating a CNC machine - based in our Timaru factory. This role would suit someone with experience in craftsmanship, joinery, or CNC operations. This position involves: * Operating 5 axis CNC routers safely and accurately * Development of machine operating procedures including tooling and maintenance to optimise effectiveness * Coming up with, and applying solutions to existing designs to improve CNC machining effectiveness * Measuring and accurately cutting materials, working from templates and using manual and automated machinery * Operating a variety of hand tools to manufacture components * Assembling parts and furniture * Examining drawings and work orders to determine specifications * Working from drawings and specifications to make furniture * Learning LEAN manufacturing disciplines * Increasing your knowledge and skills in a variety of areas including joinery, upholstery, furniture finishing, engineering and powder coating Requirements: * Able to accurately follow plans and work within timeframes * Experienced in operating woodworking CNC machinery preferred * Experience or qualification in Furniture Making or Joinery * Willingness to learn new skills * Happy to work in a fast paced environment What we offer: * A competitive hourly rate for the right candidates * A supportive team environment at a family run business * Learning and development opportunities working with new materials or technology, full training and support * Happy to support the right applicant physically and financially with relocation to Timaru The successful applicant will have an eye for detail, the ability to think outside the square, a strong work ethic and be self-motivated.
