Position Summary
The Employer and Community Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Commuting Solutions’ mission by leading employer outreach, community engagement, and event coordination efforts. The coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for employer and community transportation education and helps increase participation in transit and multimodal transportation programs.
Key Responsibilities
DRCOG TDM Partnership and RTD Service Contract Responsibilities
-Conduct outreach meetings with employer prospects, property managers, and existing partners to educate them about and promote regional Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program services.-Plan, schedule, and facilitate employer and community engagement events, including Lunch-and-Learn presentations.-Develop surveys, reports, presentations, and customized outreach materials focused on sustainable transportation options.-Maintain accurate outreach and activity records in Salesforce to track performance metrics and support program goals.-Participate in monthly DRCOG TDM Partnership meetings with DRCOG staff and regional TMOs, either in person or virtually.-Prepare and submit monthly TDM activity reports and Salesforce reports.
-Implement annual RTD service contract activities through employer and community outreach in the US 36 corridor, CO 119 corridor, and surrounding areas.-Prepare and submit quarterly reports documenting outreach activities, outcomes, and performance measures.-Promote RTD pass programs, including EcoPass, NECO Pass, and other employer-based transit benefit programs.
Other Public Engagement and Marketing Communications
-Implement regional bikeshare program launch efforts to increase awareness and use of bikeshare.
-Participate in the implementation of town halls and other public engagement efforts for Front Range Passenger Rail, CO 7 Transit Start Service and CO 119 corridor travel options.
-Assist with marketing communications support for external channels including social media, copy writing, website, etc.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in planning, communications, marketing, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
-Knowledgeable and passionate about sustainable transportation.
-Experience in employer outreach, community engagement, nonprofit programs, or transportation-related fields preferred.
-Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation delivery.
-Experience coordinating events and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small nonprofit environment.
-Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems, or willingness to learn.

Working Conditions
