POSITION SUMMARY:
A Juvenile Clerk is responsible for preparing, completing, executing and distributing all Court files/documents for each matter heard (Forms, Orders, etc.) by the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas. The right individual will receive substantial training to become proficient in Juvenile Court proceedings. He or she must be able to collaborate with many departments and keep detailed records. This position requires solid judgment and discretion which is of paramount importance to the operations of the Court. The nature of the work is highly confidential and sensitive. The Juvenile Clerk has direct responsibility for the efficiency of his/her courtroom. The Juvenile Deputy Clerk is responsible for any other duties specific to their assigned courtroom/Judge.
