Producer Testing Lab Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Producer Testing Lab Technician where you will play a critical role in maintaining quality control and regulatory compliance in our dairy testing operations. You will be responsible for the registration and testing of dairy samples, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Register incoming samples from the shipping department and maintain a neat and accurate record system.
• Enter sample data into DQCI LIMS or Eurofins eLIMS systems, either manually or through automatic export.
• Conduct component testing on all incoming dairy producer samples accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• Operate dairy testing instruments and verify results.
• Submit results electronically or in hard copy to the appropriate personnel for lab testing.
• Understand and follow Quality System documents, including Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
• Adhere to quality measures to meet or exceed ISO/IEC, government regulatory, and company requirements.
• Clean glassware, vials, and workstations as needed to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
  
  

• Proficiency in aseptic technique and media handling.
• Experience in sample receiving, processing, and data entry.
• Knowledge of microbiology, dairy testing, SOP, and cell culture.
• Familiarity with LIMS, quality control, and instrumentation.
  
  

• BA/BS in a scientific discipline preferred.
• Reliability and strong work ethic as verified by references.
• Preferred two or four-year degree in biology or scientific field.
  
  

Initially, you will work 100% in the sample receiving area, similar to a shipping department, entering milk samples from dairy producers into the system. As you gain experience, you will transition to the dairy testing area, splitting your time between the two. The shift is from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with work required every other or every third Saturday. Our fast-paced environment is supported by a team of 15 technicians, emphasizing strong communication to maintain efficiency. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
