The GWS Summer Associate (Intern) Program is a full-time, paid summer internship program that provides students with exposure to our GWS Enterprise business and the wide range of global career opportunities available therein. Our Summer Associates work directly with our diverse Fortune 500 client portfolio, spanning industries such as technology, finance, retail, healthcare, etc.

Summer Associates selected for this internship program are carefully placed in areas of the business that reflect their skills, strengths and career interests. They can also expect support and mentorship throughout the summer from this structured internship program, which offers challenging projects, networking opportunities and exposure to senior leaders.

  • Program Dates : June 1 – August 7, 2026 (10 weeks)
  • Location : Multiple markets across U.S.
  • Summer Associate Placement Areas (subject to change, based on business needs):- Facilities Management- Project Management- Business Analytics- Business Operations- Sales/Consulting- Finance

What You'll Do

Summer Associate job responsibilities will be based on their assigned team and placement area. Responsibilities below are examples and could vary:

  • Partner with client account leadership to develop a deep understanding of account operations, scopes of service and financial requirements within an integrated service model
  • Gain exposure to multiple areas of the core business and brainstorm ways to help improve or revamp existing processes and procedures
  • Develop recommendations for greater financial/operational controls and standard reporting routines
  • Analyze & develop plans for portfolio optimization and increased flexibility based on market and facility conditions

What You'll Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters/MBA degree, from an accredited university
  • Expected graduation date of Spring 2027 or earlier
  • Prior experience or exposure to commercial real estate is preferred, but not required. Curiosity and a strong desire to learn more about commercial real estate is required.
  • Ability to interpret financial documents
  • Ability to gather, analyze, interpret and summarize data; advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Proven leadership and teamwork capabilities
  • Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Involvement at your current university (student organizations, clubs, etc.) preferred
  • Involvement in the community (such as volunteering) preferred
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
