Partner-Level Labor & Employment Attorney

Job Description

Our client is a well-established, mid-size law firm, and they are looking to identify a partner-level Labor & Employment Attorney to join and help grow a robust employment practice based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned labor and employment attorney who wants to step into a leadership role, expand an existing practice, and work with a sophisticated business client base in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Role Overview

The attorney will advise and represent employers across the full spectrum of labor and employment matters, including litigation, administrative proceedings, workplace investigations, and day-to-day counseling. In addition to managing client relationships, this role will play a key part in strategic growth and leadership within the practice group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defend employers in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant matters
  • Represent clients in administrative agency proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials
  • Handle class and collective employment actions
  • Advise employers on workplace compliance, risk management, and employee relations
  • Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and employee handbooks
  • Counsel clients on workforce management, investigations, and dispute avoidance
  • Mentor associates and contribute to practice development and firm leadership

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of labor and employment experience
  • Substantial experience in employment litigation and labor relations
  • Experience appearing before state, federal, and administrative agencies
  • Exposure to labor matters (arbitrations, negotiations, unfair labor practice charges) a plus
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
  • Proven leadership ability and interest in practice growth
  • Pennsylvania Bar admission required
